Airtel launched Emergency Alert Service

The largest Network in India Airtel today Announced the launch of Its new Service called Airtel Emergency Alert Service. this is a New Innovative idea by Airtel which is going to attract many as this idea by Bharti Airtel will be helpful for millions of Airtel Subscribers during Any kind of Emergency. by Subscribing to Emergence Alert Service, Airtel Customers can now send an alert to their 10 closest loved ones at a time with their geographic location.

This is not a Free Service. If Airtel Subscribers wish to Activate Emergency Alert Service on their Mobiles, They will be charged Rs.30 per month. Airtel is the first operator in India to Start this innovative Emergency Alert service through mobile networks.

Subscribers who have opt in for this service can also send a ‘SAFE’ SMS indication to a pre-defined group of 10 family members and friends and keep them informed about their Status as they are safe when alone or during any natural calamity or disaster in a very easy way.

Various customer segments including, teenagers, working women, retired population, migrant workers to name a few will look forward to adopt this service to be secure and feel safe during any emergency.


Steps to use Airtel Emergency Alert Service

For Activating this service you need to Dial 55100 from your Airtel Mobile and follow menu Options.

This Service will be Charged INR. 30/- for 30 Days

You will have to first Identify your 10 Loved ones by adding their Numbers through Messaging  START , ,  up to 10 numbers.

When Your are in any Emergency and unable to talk, Just Give a Call to 55100, and your 10 Loved once will be informed about you with your Geographical Location through Voice and SMS alerts.

To Inform them for your Safety,  SMS SAFE to 55100 to reassure loved ones that you are safe.

This is Well managed service started by Airtel. Surely it would be very helpful for many who are usually in troubles and feel unsecured. although it seems As Airtel should give some Trail pack for this and not to charge Rs.30 Initially.
